ABOUT STRIGOI STUDIO
From a rediscovered verseto a new listener.
STRIGOI Studio is an independent music and culture project founded by Damir Mrkaljević. We research sevdah, historical texts and literature, then create contemporary musical interpretations, narration and digital editions.
We want meaningful songs and stories to stay accessible, understandable and close to new generations, at home and across the diaspora.

Explore DIVAN02 / THE IDEA BEHIND THE SOUND
The past deservesmore than silence.
We believe cultural heritage deserves to be heard. We seek out old texts, compare versions and explore the people, places and legends behind the words. Then we build a new musical story with contemporary production and AI tools.
Technology is part of the process. Research, text selection, artistic direction and responsibility for the finished work remain human.
